No Chip taps are thread forming tools and are designed to form threads in ductile materials such as brass, copper, aluminum and leaded steels.
(Since there are not cutting edges, thread size can be maintained closely.)
Smooth threads can be formed the full depth of threaded hole.

Available in plug and bottoming styles.
